How BOSS Revolution Works

To use BOSS Revolution, you need to downloand BOSS Revolution Android or iOS app. Then you must sign up for an account with your name, phone number, email address, and residential address. In some cases, the company may need additional information such as driver’s license or other supporting documents. You will be notified either during the transfer or after if additional information is needed for verification. Apart from sending money online, you can also transfer funds through participating BOSS Revolution retail stores.

How to Pay for BOSS Revolution Transfers

To make your money transfer successfully, you need to pay for it. Using BOSS Revolution transfer services, supported payment options are credit card, debit card, cash, and bank transfer. The company accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express debit and credit cards. Prepaid debit cards are not accepted.

To pay for your transfer in cash, you need to select to ‘Pay at Store’ in the BOSS Revolution app. You will then submit a money transfer order via the app and then pay for your transfer in cash at any BOSS Revolution agent location.

How to Receive BOSS Revolution Transfer

BOSS Revolution offers different receiving options for your beneficiary depending on the destination country and in-country partners. Receiving options are cash pickup, bank deposit, and mobile money wallet. You can also recharge the phone number of your loved ones with supported providers such as MTN, Vodcom, Wari and Airtel. Home delivery is not available in any African country at the moment.

To know which delivery option is available in the country of your loved one, select the country and the amount you are sending in the app then you will see the available delivery options. For cash pickup, your recipient will be required to have official ID and a pickup number, which BOSS Revolution will provide after your transaction.

BOSS Revolution Fees and Exchange Rate

Your first money transfer is free up to $300. For the following transfers, fees can be as low as $1.99. The country you are sending money to and the payment method are some of the factors that will determine how much you will be charged.

For instance, if you send $200 to Nigeria paying via a debit card, you will be charged $4.99, but if you pay via a credit card, your fee will be $10.99. Sending $200 to Kenya with a debit card, your fee will be $0.99 while paying with a credit card, you will be charged $4.99. Paying with a debit card to send $200 to Senegal, the fee will be $3.99 while credit card payment will attract a fee of $4.99.

BOSS Revolution makes money from exchange rate. However, the company has not clearly indicated the amount of markup they add onto the mid-market rate your transfers. Luckily, you will see your money transfer fee and exchange rate before you complete your transaction.
